Agents

Activate, deactivate, and delete agents

Manage an agent's lifecycle while maintaining operational control.

Activate an agent

Under Studio > Configuration, an active agent can respond in Studio and its published channels. Save the change before testing.

Deactivate it temporarily

An inactive agent stops answering new requests. Use this during an incident, a significant review, or before retiring a service. Also check channels and integrations that reference it.

Delete an agent

Deletion removes the agent from Studio and its published channels. Inceptiva retains conversations and records required for auditing.

Before confirming:

  • Identify published channels.
  • Review authorized tools.
  • Communicate the change to the team.
  • Preserve instructions or settings that must be reused.

Deleting and deactivating are different actions. If you expect to restore the service, deactivate it first and validate the impact.
