Introduction to the Web Widget

What the Web Widget is

The Web Widget embeds an Inceptiva chat interface in your site. It uses the agent, knowledge, and tools configured in Studio while maintaining its own appearance and welcome message.

How it works

Enabling the channel creates a public identifier and publication token. The generated script uses both to load the correct agent.

Configuration includes:

• Configuration: identity, greeting, and source exposure.
• Appearance: avatar, color, position, and launcher.
• Installation and security: script and token rotation.

Before publishing

Test the agent in Studio, install the widget in a test environment, and validate desktop, mobile, keyboard, knowledge, and tools.

The publication token is not an API_KEY and must not be used with the public API.
