Control sources visible in the widget

Choose the channel level

Under Configuration > Sources in this channel, choose:

• Do not show sources.
• Show references.
• References and excerpts.
• Allow public documents.

The channel cannot exceed agent limits, and each document may add restrictions.

Protect internal content

Before enabling excerpts or documents, review visibility, permissions, and authorized bases. References must not expose internal paths, personal data, or private documentation.

Check a real response

Ask a knowledge question and inspect citations. Repeat with different visibility levels.

This setting changes source presentation, not the knowledge the agent may consult.
